It was The Lancet Review who published a seriously flawed study claiming homeopathy is just a placebo that unleashed an unnecessary backlash. According to George Lewith, Professor of Health Research at Southampton University there was no indication of which trials were analyzed or what assumptions were made based on the data. This is not usual scientific practice, indicating an incredible amount of biasness and unreliability in the Lancet Review.
Professor Lewith says in fact there are high quality trials of homeopathy that prove a positive conclusion. He suggests that homeopathy is probably effective in many conditions, including flu, allergies, and upper respiratory tract infections.
Anyone who uses homeopathy regularly knows of the efficacy of homeopathy. It is the skeptics who have not actually tried homeopathy who shout the loudest. They cannot imagine that a medicine that has no molecules of substance can work. Yes, it is quantum physics in action that makes homeopathy remedies so effective!
See Dr. Rustum Roy, eminent Material Scientist, who can explain the plausibility…and there are always those clinical trials for homeopathy to set the record straight.

What I am discovering in my own practice is that the more accurate my prescribing, the better the healing results for my patients. Trying to do research on homeopathy in the traditional way of “double-blind studies”, etc. just doesn’t work. All of us know we have had amazing results with homeopathy, and we have had failures. I truly believe that if we get the “most similiar remedy” (the similimum), we will see curative results. So, that behooves all homeopathic practitioners to take very careful case histories and prescribe on the deeper vital sensation level. When we can heal 80% or more of the patients who come to see us, this will be the greatest proof that homeopathy works.

I am a registered nurse, a licensed acupuncturist and I enjoy a thriving practice as a homeopath. I read these silly statements about the derth of valid scientific studies to support homeopathy and I laugh. Who says a valid scientific report protects consumers from fraud or danger. I have seen far too much damage from “safely prescribed” pharmaceuticals to be impressed by the FDA protocol for determining safety and effectiveness. First do no harm is a (excuse the phrase) dying art in medicine. Homeopathy is indeed safe and effective and consumers know it. I don’t care if it is explained by quantum ducks. Give me a safe and effective.

Trials in homeopathy should be done with classical homeopathy for certain conditions. The few trials done in classical homeopathy have also been a mixed bag. Some show success and others did not.
Conditions such as flu can be tested effectively double blinded. Many acute conditions can be treated effectively using a self help book or combination remedies.
